Allsvenskan 2026: Sirius eight points clear with six rounds left

The Allsvenskan is Sweden's top division, played since 1924, and Malmö FF are its most successful club. Sixteen teams meet home and away over 30 rounds in a calendar-year season. The bottom two are relegated to the Superettan and 14th place faces a play-off. Mjällby are the defending champions after winning the 2025 title with 75 points and only one defeat, while Gais' Ibrahim Diabate was the top scorer with 19 goals.

With six rounds left Sirius lead with 55 points, eight ahead of Djurgården and nine ahead of Hammarby, after a 2-2 draw with Elfsborg ended a run of four straight wins. Sirius have won ten of their twelve away games. Djurgården won 2-0 at Brommapojkarna and share the best defence with Hammarby, 21 goals conceded each. Champions Mjällby lost 1-0 at Västerås and are 12th.

Halmstad are bottom with 14 points after a 1-0 home defeat to Hammarby, and Örgryte are 15th despite beating Gais 4-2. Kalmar, in the play-off place, have lost their last five and are still without an away win.

Djurgården's Kristian Lien leads the scorers with 16 goals, one ahead of Sirius' Robert Ure, and Djurgården's Bo Hegland still has the most assists, 14.
