Cypriot First Division 2026/27: AEL two points clear, Omonia unbeaten with a game in hand

The First Division is Cyprus's top division, and APOEL are its most successful club. Fourteen teams play 26 rounds, after which the top six enter a championship group and the bottom eight a relegation group. Omonia Nicosia are the defending champions: they won the 2025/26 title with 87 points, 18 ahead of AEK Larnaca.

After six rounds AEL lead with 15 points after a 2-0 win at Omonia Aradippou, two ahead of AEK Larnaca, who drew 1-1 with Aris. Apollon Limassol, unbeaten after a 4-2 win over Nea Salamis, are third, and Omonia are fourth with a game in hand, also unbeaten and with the best defence, two goals conceded. Pafos have won all three away games.

Karmiotissa are still without a win, and Krasava Ypsonas beat them 2-1 for their first win. Krasava, Anorthosis and Karmiotissa have three points each at the bottom.
