HNL 2026/27: Hajduk three points clear after beating Varaždin

The HNL is Croatia's top division, played since 1992, and Dinamo Zagreb are its most successful club. Ten teams play each other four times over 36 rounds, and the bottom club is relegated. Dinamo are the defending champions: they won the 2025/26 title with 86 points, 18 ahead of Hajduk Split, and Dion Beljo was the league's top scorer with 31 goals.

After ten rounds Hajduk lead with 22 points after a 1-0 win over Varaždin, three ahead of Dinamo, who have a game in hand and won 5-1 at Slaven Belupo, their first away win of the season. Varaždin are third with the best defence, eight goals conceded. Rijeka have won all four home games and won away for the first time, 2-1 at Rudeš.

Gorica are bottom with six points after a 1-1 draw in Osijek.

Dinamo's Dion Drena Beljo leads the scorers with ten goals, ahead of Istra's Emil Frederiksen and Slaven Belupo's Ilija Nestorovski on seven.
