The Kazakhstan Premier League is the top division of Kazakhstan, played from spring to autumn. Sixteen clubs play 30 rounds. FC Astana have won the most titles, and Kairat Almaty, from the country's largest city, are the other leading club.
With one round to play Ordabasy, from Shymkent, have 68 points, four ahead of Kairat, and can no longer be caught; it is the first league title in the club's history. They lost only three games and conceded 21 goals, the fewest in the league, and have won four of their last five. Kairat drew 2-2 at Aktobe last weekend, and Astana are third with 53 points.
Kaisar and Zhetysu are in the relegation places going into the final round, with Atyrau and Altay on 27 points just above them.
