Virslīga 2026: Riga a point behind RFS after another win

The Virslīga is Latvia's top division, and Skonto Riga are its most successful club. Ten teams play each other four times over 36 rounds. Riga FC are the defending champions after winning the 2025 title by a single point from RFS.

The title race is still within a point. RFS lead with 80 points from 32 games, a point ahead of Riga, who beat Super Nova 2-1 and have played once more; Auda are third on 64. RFS have won 14 of their 16 away games, while Riga are unbeaten at home and have scored 90 goals, the most in the league.

Ogre United are bottom with 18 points after a 3-2 defeat in Grobiņa, and Tukums have yet to win away from home.
