EnglandPremier League 2026/27: Manchester City win their first six
The Premier League is England's top division, founded in 1992 when the top clubs broke away from the Football League, and Manchester United are its most successful club. Twenty teams meet home and away over 38 rounds. The top four qualify for the Champions League league phase, with further European places for the clubs just below, and the bottom three are relegated to the Championship. This season's promoted sides are Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City.
Manchester City have a perfect start, six wins from six, and have conceded only once away from home. Arsenal are second on 15 points with five wins from six, and Brighton third on 13 with the league's best attack, 18 goals. Brentford and Everton are the only other unbeaten sides, each with two wins and four draws. Liverpool are ninth and still without a home win, while Manchester United are 13th.
At the bottom, Fulham, Tottenham and Bournemouth have yet to win a match. Tottenham have scored only three goals in six games, the fewest in the division. Of the promoted clubs, Hull are eighth and Ipswich tenth, while Coventry are 14th.
Erling Haaland leads the scoring charts with six goals in six games, ahead of Chelsea's João Pedro, who has five goals and three assists. Brighton's Pascal Groß has the most assists, four.
