Virslīga 2026: RFS and Riga separated by a point

The Virslīga is Latvia's top division, and Skonto Riga are its most successful club. Ten teams play each other four times over 36 rounds. Riga FC are the defending champions after winning the 2025 title by a single point from RFS.

This season's race is just as close. RFS lead with 77 points from 31 games, a point ahead of Riga, who have played once more; Auda are third on 64. RFS have won 14 of their 16 away games, while Riga are unbeaten at home and have scored 88 goals, the most in the league.

Ogre United are bottom with 18 points, and Tukums have yet to win away from home.
