Two Assists in Three Minutes: Lamine Yamal Turns Barcelona's Night in Istanbul
Galatasaray led, then Yamal took over. Elsewhere on the first night of matchday two, Club Brugge won a seven-goal thriller at San Siro and ten-man Bayern were held in Stavanger.
For 43 minutes at Rams Park, Barcelona were behind. Aleksey Batrakov had put Galatasaray ahead on 28 minutes, and Barış Alper Yılmaz thought he had doubled the lead before VAR ruled it out. By full time it was Galatasaray 1-4 Barcelona, and the man who changed the game never scored.
João Cancelo levelled just before half-time from Dani Olmo's pass. Then, in the space of three minutes early in the second half, Lamine Yamal set up two goals: Fermín López made it 2-1 on 50 minutes and Anthony Gordon added a third on 53. Karim Adeyemi, on as a substitute, completed the scoring on 65 minutes.
Yamal played all 90 minutes and created six chances, more than anyone else on the pitch. He had five shots of his own without hitting the target, but on a night when Barcelona had 71% of the ball and 22 attempts, his job was to open the space for others, and he did.
Lamine Yamal's season in numbers

- Champions League this season: 1 goal and 4 assists in 2 games.
- La Liga this season: 7 goals and 5 assists in 8 games.

Tresoldi's hat-trick sinks Inter at San Siro
The wildest game of the night was in Milan, where Inter lost 4-3 to Club Brugge. Nicolò Tresoldi scored a penalty on 30 minutes, Lautaro Martínez equalised just before half-time, and Tresoldi then scored twice more after the break to complete his hat-trick. Lautaro pulled one back to make it 3-2 on 81 minutes, but Romeo Vermant restored Brugge's two-goal cushion on 87 minutes, and Ange-Yoan Bonny's stoppage-time goal for Inter came too late. Carlos Forbs set up two of Brugge's goals.
Inter had 30 shots, and the expected-goals figures, 4.41 against 4.34, show how open the game was. It leaves Inter with no points from two matches after their 2-1 defeat in Madrid on the opening night.
Ten-man Bayern held after a comeback in Stavanger
Viking were 2-0 up at half-time against Bayern Munich through Gianni Stensness, inside two minutes, and Peter Christiansen. Harry Kane turned the game in six minutes, with a penalty awarded after a VAR review and then a second from Joshua Kimmich's pass, and Luis Díaz put Bayern ahead on 71 minutes. Two minutes later Michael Olise was sent off, and in the 90th minute Herman Haugen made it 3-3. Zlatko Tripić set up two of Viking's goals.
Atlético beat ten-man United
Atlético Madrid scored in the first minute through Pablo Barrios and had a second from Johnny Cardoso ruled out by VAR just before half-time. Leny Yoro was sent off on 74 minutes after his card was upgraded on review, and Ademola Lookman sealed a 2-0 win five minutes later.
Arsenal and Sporting stay perfect
Arsenal broke Lille down with three goals in seven minutes, Jurriën Timber, Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka scoring between the 64th and 71st minutes in a 3-0 win; Lille did not manage a shot on target. Sporting CP won 2-0 at Lens through Luis Suárez and Issa Doumbia, despite facing 21 shots. Both now have six points from two games.
